Description

A color photograph of J. Irwin Miller's Irwin Management Company office at 301 Washington Street, designated Area 43 in drawings, looking towards the sliding teak door that leads to the receptionist desk (Area 46). Features the brass, teak, and laminate desk designed by Alexander Girard and the Charles and Ray Eames' Soft Pad chairs for Herman Miller that were rendered in brass at J. Irwin Miller's request. Girard designed the office suite for J. Irwin Miller in the early 1960s, then renovated the entire building complex in the early 1970s.
