The recording documents the dedication of the Bartholomew County Library, which was named in honor of long-term librarian, Cleo Rogers (1906-1964). The library was designed by architect I. M. (Ieoh Ming) Pei (1917-2019) and his firm, I. M. Pei &amp; Partners. The project architect overseeing design and production was Kenneth D.B. (David Bertram) Carruthers (1928-2014). The ceremony also included the dedication of Large Arch, the sculpture on the plaza constructed by Henry Moore (1898-1986). There were several speeches throughout the ceremony from those involved in the project and notable members of the community, including I. M. Pei; Carl J. Weinhardt, Jr. (1927-1986), the director of the Indianapolis Museum of Art at that time; State Representative and Columbus native, William Calvert Brand (1918-2005); and Columbus Mayor, Eret H.
